Pakistan wrapped up a dominant 3-0 series victory by defeating Sri Lanka in the third ODI with a confident six-wicket win in Karachi on Sunday. Chasing a modest target of 212, the hosts cruised home with 5.2 overs to spare, thanks to a calm and composed partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Hussain Talat.
Sri Lanka struck early when Maheesh Theekshana removed Haseebullah Khan for a duck, but Fakhar Zaman’s fluent 55 off 45 balls put Pakistan back in control. His 80-run stand with captain Babar Azam set up the chase perfectly before Jeffrey Vandersay triggered a brief wobble with three quick wickets.

From 115/4, Pakistan rebuilt smartly as Rizwan (61) and Talat (42)** stitched together an unbeaten century partnership, shutting the door on Sri Lanka’s comeback hopes.
Earlier, Sri Lanka once again failed to capitalise on a promising start. Despite several batters getting starts, they folded for 211 in 45.2 overs, undone by Pakistan’s disciplined bowling. Mohammad Wasim Jr led the attack with 3/47, supported nicely by Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram.
With this win, Pakistan completed a clinical series sweep, showcasing strong form with both bat and ball ahead of their upcoming assignments.
