The T20 World Cup will return for its 10th edition in February-March 2026. India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the T20I tournament.
Like the last iteration, 20 teams will feature in the T20 World Cup 2026. The teams will be split into four groups of five sides each.
In the group stage, the teams will meet their group opponents once. Then the top two teams from all four groups will move into the Super Eight round.
The eight teams will again be divided into two groups, taking on their group members once to secure the top two spots. Teams occupying the top two positions in both groups will make the semi-finals. Then the semi-final winners will square off in the title clash.
