The only instance of a team defending a target successfully came in 2014 when Sri Lanka failed to chase India’s 229 runs. If teams bat first, then they should aim for 240-250 runs on the board.

- Mithali Raj’s unbeaten 104 guided India to 229 for 5, the highest women’s ODI total here.
- Sri Lanka failed to chase the target, which meant India clean-swept the three-match series played in Vizag.
- Gouher Sultana delivered a breathtaking spell, grabbing four wickets for four runs in the first ODI of the series. It resulted in Sri Lanka’s collapse to 76 all out.
- Jhulan Gowami picked up a five-wicket haul to bowl out Australia on 89 in the 2012 T20I match.
