Pakistan have announced their squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The two-match series will be played from May 8 to May 12 and May 16 to May 20.
The squad includes four uncapped players, giving fresh talent a chance at the international level.
Four Uncapped Players Get First Call-Up
Pakistan have included four new faces in the Test squad:

- Azan Awais
- Amad Butt
- Muhammad Ghazi Ghori
These players are yet to make their Test debut and will be looking to impress in this series.
Mohammad Abbas Returns to the Test Team
Experienced fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has been recalled to the squad.
He last played Test cricket during the South Africa tour in the 2024/25 season. The 36-year-old has been in good form in county cricket with Derbyshire and has received permission to join the national team.
Training Camp and Player Availability
The team will begin preparations with a training camp in Karachi from April 27.
Players who are currently playing in the Pakistan Super League will join the squad after the tournament ends on May 3. If Abbas stays for the full camp, he may miss a few county matches for Derbyshire.
Coaching Staff Changes
Pakistan have also made some changes to the coaching staff:
- Sarfaraz Ahmed is the new head coach for the Test team
- Asad Shafiq has been appointed batting coach
- Umar Gul is the new bowling coach
Sarfaraz Ahmed, a former captain, recently moved into a coaching role after being part of the selection panel.
