Ireland have an exciting 2025-26 season ahead of them. They have plenty of white-ball action on the cards this season.
The Irish team will make three trips to the Asian continent for crucial assignments. On either side of their overseas tours, they will host two teams.
Ireland would’ve been a bit busier this season, but they had to cancel a home series against Afghanistan and a trip to Pakistan. Nevertheless, the Irishmen will look to make the most of their fixtures.

Ireland vs England (3 T20Is): September 2025
After a two-month break, the Irishmen will be back in action. They will host England for a three-match T20I series.
The series will begin on September 17 with the first T20I match. The second 20-over game will take place on September 19, with the last one on September 21. All games will take place in Dublin.
Sri Lanka vs Ireland (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): October-November 2025
Ireland will tour Sri Lanka for a white-ball series. They will play three ODIs and as many T20Is against the Lankan Lions.
The T20Is will provide the Irishmen with much-needed insights to play in the subcontinent conditions ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.
Bangladesh vs Ireland (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): November-December 2025
Ireland will then immediately tour Bangladesh for a multi-format series. The tour starts in November with two Tests. Then both teams will move towards white-ball action, with three ODIs and as many T20Is.
T20 World Cup 2026: February-March 2026
Ireland’s last trip to the Asian subcontinent will be an important one. They will compete in the 20-team T20 World Cup scheduled across India and Sri Lanka.
The Irishmen fared averagely in the last edition held in the West Indies and the USA. So they would like to perform better this time around.
Ireland vs New Zealand (1 Test): May 2026
After a small break, Ireland will start a packed home season in May 2026. They will host New Zealand for a one-off Test in the last week of May. This will be the first Test match between Ireland and New Zealand.
