Nathan Ellis came to the limelight after a stellar outing in the 2020/21 Big Bash League (BBL) season. He was among the top wicket takers and the best bowler for Hobart Hurricanes in that season.
This performance made him a regular in the Hurricanes squad. Ellis’ rise has been so phenomenal that now he leads the Hurricanes in the league.
And guess what? He captained the Hurricanes to their first-ever BBL title in the 2024/25 season.

Ellis guided the Hurricanes to the top of the points table with seven wins in 10 matches. Then he took them into the final and handed them their maiden BBL title.
Within two seasons at the helm, Ellis did what many can’t even imagine doing. Now, he will aim to add more wins and trophies to his name.
