Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium was opened in 2008. But the venue had to wait for 15 years to host an international match.
That day arrived in January 2023 when India hosted New Zealand for an ODI match. Since then, Raipur has been frequently hosting international fixtures.
Before its international debut, the venue staged a few IPL and Champions League T20 matches. The state-of-the-art venue continues to host domestic matches.
