Papua New Guinea (PNG) have important fixtures in their 2025-26 cricket season. They will push for their qualifications in the ODI and T20 World Cups.
PNG will feature in two multi-nation tournaments in the second half of 2025. Both tournaments are crucial for PNG’s qualification hopes for the two biggest ICC events.

CWC Challenge League: August 2025
PNG will begin their season in August 2025. They will travel to Jersey for their second round of CWC Challenge League matches.
The Barramundis will square off against six teams in 50-over matches. Their first fixture is against Denmark on August 22, followed by the next against Kuwait on August 24.
PNG will take on Kenya in their third match on August 27, while the fourth will be against hosts Jersey the next day. They will close out the tour with the last match against Qatar on August 30.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia & EAP Qualifier: October 2025
After a month’s gap, PNG will gear up for some T20I action. They will turn up in the T20 World Cup Asia & EAP Qualifier 2025 in October 2025.
PNG made it to the qualifier directly thanks to their appearance in the last World Cup edition. They have been placed in Group C along with Oman and Samoa.
The Barramundia will meet Samoa in their first group fixture on October 9. The next day, they will take on hosts Oman.
If PNG finish in the top two, they will further proceed to the Super Six stage, which will start on October 12. Here, they will hope for a top-three finish to book the T20 World Cup berth.
