After wrapping up The Hundred, the England men’s team will resume their international duties in the 2025-26 season. They will be on the road for seven months as challenging away tours await them.
Among them, the Ashes is their biggest series in Australia. England haven’t laid their hands on the trophy since 2015.
Before that, they will take on South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand in white-ball games. The three lions’ new year will start in Sri Lanka with a limited-overs series. And then they will fly to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

England vs South Africa (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): September 2025
England will wrap up their 2025 summer in September. They will square off against South Africa in six white-ball games.
The series will start on September 2, with the first ODI in Leeds. Lord’s will host the second one-dayer on September 4. And the last ODI will take place in Southampton on September 7.
England will then take on South Africa in three T20Is, with the first one scheduled on September 10 in Cardiff. The second 20-over match will take place in Manchester on September 12. The series will conclude in Nottingham with the last T20I on September 14.
Ireland vs England (3 T20Is): September 2025
A second-string England team will travel to Ireland for a short T20I series. The first match will take place on September 17, followed by the second on September 19.
The last T20I will take place on September 21. Dublin’s Malahide will host all matches.
New Zealand vs England (3 T20Is, 3 ODIs): October-November 2025
After a month’s break, England will be back in action. They will fly to New Zealand for a limited-overs series.
Their tour begins on October 18, with the first T20I in Christchurch. The second match will also take place at the same venue on October 20. Auckland will stage the last T20I on October 23.
The attention will then shift to ODIs. Mount Maunganui will host the first ODI on October 26.
The second one-dayer will take place in Hamilton on October 29. And Wellington will stage the last ODI on November 1.
Australia vs England (5 Tests): November 2025-January 2026
England will travel from New Zealand to Australia for the Ashes. The five-Test series starts on November 21 in Perth.
The second red-ball game will begin on December 4 in Brisbane, while the third will follow on December 17 in Adelaide. Melbourne will deck up for the Boxing Day Test, while Sydney will turn pink for the New Year Test.
Sri Lanka vs England (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): January-February 2026
After the gruelling Australia tour, England will touch down in Sri Lanka. They will play three ODIs and as many T20Is against the hosts in January and February 2026. The T20Is will help England get in the groove for the T20 World Cup.
T20 World Cup: February-March 2026
England will extend their stay in the subcontinent for the 20-over global event. They will be put in a group of five teams.
England will first have to battle it out in the group stage as they try to qualify for the Super Eight stage. Then they will aim for the semi-final and the final.
