Zimbabwe have had a shaky start to their 2025-26 season. They have conceded defeats against heavyweights like England, South Africa, and New Zealand.
So Zimbabwe would like to rebound in the rest of their fixtures. They have three bilaterals scheduled till May 2026. But before that, Zimbabwe needs to secure a berth in the T20 World Cup (T20WC) by topping the Africa Regional Final. So they have a mighty task on their hands.

Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka (2 ODIs, 3 T20Is): August-September 2025
After the crushing Test defeats, Zimbabwe will shift their focus to limited-overs cricket. They will host Sri Lanka for two ODIs and three T20Is in late August and early September.
The ODIs will take place on August 29 and 31. Then, three T20Is will prepare Zimbabwe for the T20WC qualification.
The first match will take place on September 2, with the second and third scheduled for September 6 and 7.
T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final: September-October 2025
A few weeks later, Zimbabwe will host the T20WC Africa Regional Final. It’s an eight-team tournament, with two spots up for grabs in the T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe are part of Group B along with Botswana, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): October-November 2025
From mid-October, Afghanistan will arrive in Zimbabwe for a multi-format series. The itinerary involves two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. Both Tests will most likely take place in Bulawayo, while Harare will stage the white-ball games.
T20 World Cup: February-March 2026
Zimbabwe may fly to India and Sri Lanka if they qualify for the T20 World Cup. The global T20 event is set for February and March 2026. Zimbabwe last featured in the tournament in 2022, held in Australia.
Pakistan vs Zimbabwe (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): April-May 2026
Zimbabwe will be back in Asia for a white-ball series in Pakistan. The Chevrons will take on the hosts in three ODIs and as many T20Is in April and May 2026.
