The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is one of the oldest cricket stadiums in Australia. Ever since its establishment in 1948, SCG has hosted many memorable contests.
The first international took place here in 1882, an Ashes Test between Australia and England. Since then, close to 300 international matches have taken place in Sydney.
In the initial years, SCG was a batting paradise. But now spinners have been influential of late.
Here you can look at the Sydney Cricket Ground’s records and stats in international cricket.

Pacers find help as well earlier in the game, though spinners dominate on the fourth and fifth days.

Scores above 300 aren’t too common, while anything around 280 can be challenging to chase.

Sydney’s T20I record is pretty similar to that of ODIs. Teams batting first have benefited the most, as chasing targets isn’t easy here.
Despite that, though, a couple of 190-plus targets have been chased here. A total of above 180 should be competitive on this surface. Of late, teams have breached this mark with ease in the first innings.
