Rawalpindi is home to one of the most prominent cricket venues in Pakistan – the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Since its establishment in 1992, the stadium has hosted plenty of international matches.
But it’s only since 2019 that the venue has been hosting international cricket more frequently. It has even hosted the World Cup and, more recently, the Champions Trophy matches.
Outside the international fixtures, Rawalpindi regularly hosts domestic tournaments and Pakistan Super League matches.
Below you can look at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium’s records and stats in Test, ODI, and T20I cricket.

The pitch is generally flat. So batters make the most of it, while bowlers have to grind hard, though spinners get help as the pitch wears on.
Of late, teams have put up 300-plus totals more often while batting in the first and second innings. So teams often opt to bat first, as the pitch becomes challenging later on.
