Punjab’s New Chandigarh is home to the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium. Opened in 2021, the venue is equipped with modern facilities, including a fast drainage system, spacious dressing rooms, and world-class spectator amenities.
This stadium became the new home of Punjab Kings starting from IPL 2024, hosting regular IPL matches and becoming one of India’s busiest new cricket venues.
In September 2025, the ground hosted its first-ever international match — a Women’s ODI between India and Australia. With more fixtures lined up, men’s international cricket is also making its debut here.

The stadium will host its first-ever men’s T20 international on December 11, 2025, when India face South Africa in the 2nd T20I of the series.
Though T20Is haven’t been played yet, the venue has hosted over 30 domestic T20 games, including IPL matches. The pitch generally supports batters early, while spinners come into play as the wicket slows down.
Across domestic T20s here, teams batting first have won nearly 60% of matches, with an average first innings total of around 170–175.
