The speciality of the venue is the Castle Corner, where passionate fans turn up to cheer for the hosts. And that makes up for a vibrant atmosphere for every international cricket match played here.

Harare has hosted close to 200 ODIs. And almost half of those matches have been won while chasing targets.
The conditions become more batter-friendly in the second half as the pitch flattens out. So, it sort of becomes a challenge to even defend good totals.
The average first innings score is around 230. But teams easily go past the 280-run mark, giving them a solid chance at defending the total.
In 2023, Zimbabwe even breached the 400-run mark for the first time, scoring 408 for 6 against the USA in the World Cup qualifier.
The toss doesn’t influence the results much, but teams should opt to bat first and score a big total.
