Australia’s Cairns city is home to Cazaly’s Stadium. It’s a multi-purpose sports facility, like many other Australian sports stadiums.
Cazaly’s Stadium can host football, rugby, and most importantly, cricket matches. While it’s not a prominent Australian cricket venue, it has hosted a few international fixtures.

The Cazaly’s Stadium has hosted only two Test matches thus far. And both fixtures date back to 2003 and 2004.
Australia hosted Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for a Test each at this venue during their winter. They won the Test against Bangladesh and settled for a draw against Sri Lanka.
In the limited sample, batters have found help in the first half of the matches. As the match progresses, the pitch tends to slow down. This brings bowlers into the equation.

ODIs are also rare at this venue. The first time ODI cricket arrived in Cairns was in 2003.
Australia took on Bangladesh in two 50-over games during the 2003 series. And almost a decade later, they hosted New Zealand for a three-match series.
Australia ODI record at Cazaly’s Stadium. They have lost single match of the Six ODIs played here.
Looking at the average score, the venue doesn’t produce a lot of high-scoring games. A first innings score of around 290 – 300 should be enough to defend.

Cazaly’s Stadium: Pitch Conditions
Cazaly’s Stadium rolls out a competitive pitch for limited-overs cricket. Batters and bowlers find help in different phases.
Fast bowlers look to make the most of the movement and bounce on offer with the new balls. Spinners find some turn in the middle overs.
As for batters, they execute their strokes freely once the pitch wears down and flattens. Smaller boundaries further make their life easy.
