Then there’s a T20I triangular series in Sharjah. And Pakistan will begin the 2025-27 WTC cycle at home.
They will host South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Australia at home. And they have away assignments in the UAE, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

UAE T20I Tri-Series: August-September 2025
As per the original FTP, Pakistan were scheduled to play a bilateral T20I series against Afghanistan. But they will now feature in a T20I tri-series involving Afghanistan and the UAE.
The tournament will take place just before the Asia Cup. So it will act as a final preparation.
The tri-series will begin on August 29 in Sharjah. Pakistan will square off against both teams twice before the final, slated for September 7.

Asia Cup: September 2025
Pakistan’s stay in the UAE will extend till the end of September. They will participate in the Asia Cup 2025.
Pakistan are part of Group A, along with India, Oman, and the UAE. They will look to finish in the top two to qualify for the Super Four stage.
Pakistan vs South Africa (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): October-November 2025
After a small break, Pakistan will host South Africa for a multi-format series. Both teams will first play two Tests in October 2025.
The focus will shift towards white-ball games. Pakistan will square off against the visitors in three ODI matches. Then the three T20Is will prepare them for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)
Pakistan will keep themselves busy with another white-ball series. This one is against Sri Lanka.
The Lankan lions will tour the country for three ODIs and as many T20Is. The entire series will take place in November 2025.
Pakistan vs Australia (3 T20Is): February 2026
After a long break, Pakistan will get back in T20I mode. They will play hosts to the touring Australians for a quick T20I series.
This will be their last chance to fine-tune their squad ahead of the T20 World Cup. Pakistan will take on the Aussies in three T20Is in 2026.

T20 World Cup 2026: February-March 2026
Pakistan will touch down in Sri Lanka for the T20 World Cup in February 2026. They will play all their matches in the island nation, including the semi-final and final, if they qualify for it.
Pakistan will first have to move through the group stage to make the Super Eights. The last edition was disastrous for them, having exited from the group stage.
Pakistan vs Australia (3 ODIs): March 2026
Once Pakistan conclude their T20 World Cup campaign, they will return home. They will host Australia once again. This time, both teams will lock horns in three ODIs in March.
Bangladesh vs Pakistan (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): March-April 2026
After the ODIs against Australia, Pakistan will fly to Bangladesh. They will take on the hosts in a multi-format series.
The series will get underway in March 2026 with two Tests. The Tests carry significant WTC points.
Then the two Asian teams will engage in white-ball matches consisting of three one-dayers and three T20Is.
