New Zealand opened their 2025-26 season with a T20I tri-series win in Zimbabwe. Now they have a long schedule ahead of them. The Kiwis have four home and four away assignments. And all of them are important as they build up for the next ICC events.
New Zealand’s immediate attention will be on the T20 World Cup as they prepare for the big event with plenty of T20Is. They have enough ODIs as well on their plate, with a bit of Test action in between.

New Zealand vs Australia (3 T20Is): October 2025
New Zealand will resume their busy schedule at home in October 2025. They will host Australia for a short T20I series.
Mount Maunganui will stage the three-T20I series, with the first match scheduled for October 1. The next two T20Is will be back-to-back fixtures on October 3 and 4.
New Zealand vs England (3 T20Is, 3 ODIs): October-November 2025
The Blackcaps will prepare for the Bazball challenge. But this time in limited-overs cricket.
They will face England in three T20Is and as many one-dayers. The first two T20Is will take place in Christchurch on October 18 and 20, with the third one in Auckland on October 23.
The One-Day leg will start in Mount Maunganui on October 26, with Hamilton and Wellington hosting the next two ODIs on October 29 and November 1, respectively.
New Zealand vs West Indies (5 T20Is, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): November-December 2025
A few days later, the Kiwis will welcome the West Indies for a full-fledged series. Both sides will start the series in Auckland with the first T20I on November 5.
The second T20I will be at the same ground on November 6. The third and fourth T20Is will take place in Nelson on November 9 and 10, while the fifth T20I will be scheduled on November 13 in Dunedin.
Then the ODIs will follow, with the first one in Christchurch on November 16. Napier will host the second one-dayer on November 19, while the third match will take place in Hamilton on November 22.
The Kiwis will be back in Christchurch to start the Test series on December 2. This will be New Zealand’s first series in the current WTC cycle.
The second red-ball match starts on December 10 in Wellington. And the last one begins on December 18 in Mount Maunganui.
India vs New Zealand (3 ODIs, 5 T20Is): January 2026
After the Christmas break, New Zealand will be India-bound. The Blackcaps will take on the Men in Blue in three ODIs and five T20Is in January 2026.
The tour will start in Vadodara with the first one-dayer on January 11. Both teams will travel to Rajkot for the second ODI on January 14. And Indore will wrap up the 50-over leg on January 18.
Then the focus will shift towards the T20Is, with the first match in Nagpur on January 21. The second T20I will take place in Raipur on January 23, while Guwahati will host the third on January 25.
The tour will move south for the last two T20Is, with Vizag set for the fourth T20I on January 28 and Trivandrum to host the fifth game on January 31.
Afghanistan vs New Zealand (3 T20Is): February 2026
New Zealand will make a quick pit stop in the UAE for a T20I series against Afghanistan. The series will take place in the first week of February 2026.
T20 World Cup: February-March 2026
The Kiwis will be back in the Indian subcontinent. This time, they will have a bigger assignment in their hands. New Zealand are one of the 20 teams to feature in the T20 World Cup.
New Zealand vs South Africa (5 T20Is): March 2026
After the World Cup, the Blackcaps will return home. They have five T20Is scheduled against South Africa.
The first T20I will take place on March 15 in Mount Maunganui, while the second is scheduled for March 17 in Hamilton. Auckland will gear up for the third T20I on March 20, while Wellington will deck up for the fourth on March 22. And Christchurch will be the host for the last match on March 25.
Bangladesh vs New Zealand (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is): April 2026
New Zealand will once again fly to Asia. They will touch down in Bangladesh for a white-ball series, consisting of three ODIs and as many T20Is, in April 2026.
