9. 112/9 vs Delhi Daredevils (2010)
Batting first in Chennai, CSK struggled against a sharp Delhi bowling unit. The lack of partnerships hurt them badly, and Delhi comfortably defended the modest target.
8. 112/8 vs RCB (2008)
In the inaugural IPL season, CSK suffered a rare home collapse against RCB. The pressure of a knockout encounter only magnified the batting errors.

Although not an IPL match, this remains one of CSK’s lowest T20 totals at Chepauk. The Caribbean side outplayed CSK in all departments on the day.
6. 110/8 vs Delhi Daredevils (2012)
CSK never recovered after a poor powerplay in Delhi. With wickets tumbling consistently, the innings never reached a competitive position.
5. 109 All Out vs Mumbai Indians (2019)
CSK and Mumbai Indians share a fierce rivalry, but this match at Chepauk turned one-sided. Chasing 156 on a slow surface, CSK’s batting faltered badly.

1. 79 All Out vs Mumbai Indians (2013)
CSK’s lowest-ever IPL score remains 79 at the Wankhede in 2013. After restricting MI to 139, the chase collapsed spectacularly.
Mitchell Johnson and Lasith Malinga ran through the batting order as CSK suffered a crushing 60-run defeat.
These collapses prove that even the most successful IPL franchises face difficult days. What separates CSK from others is their resilience—time and again bouncing back from setbacks to maintain their legacy as one of the league’s greatest teams.
