Cricket is set to light up the United States of America (USA) once again. This time, the Global Cricket League (GCL) 2025 will take the honours.
The newest T20 league on the block will start its inaugural season on October 24, 2025 (October 25 as per IST). Six teams, studded with global cricketing stars, will compete in the GCL 2025.
Renowned players like Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir, Thisara Perera, and Shaun Marsh will be in action in the inaugural GCL season.
Hosts Houston Riders will take on New York Liberty in the curtain raiser. Chicago Windchasers, Las Vegas Aces, Miami Waves, and Washington DC Eagles are the other four teams.
These teams will face each other once over a week-long league stage. From there, we’ll get four semi-finalists, who will fight for two final spots on November 1 and 2. The two semi-final winners will then lock horns in the GCL 2025 final on November 3.
In all, the Global Cricket League will see 18 matches in its inaugural season, including the knockouts.
