Cameron Green Slams Consecutive 50s to lead Australia to a dominant win over West Indies at Sabina Park

Cameron Green and Josh Inglis score unbeaten half-centuries to take Australia to a win.

Australia have been incredible since they landed in the Caribbean Islands and have been undefeated in five games (3 tests and 2 T20Is) on this tour. They are leading the five-match T20I series 2-0 and need one more win to register another series win. Cameron Green and Josh Inglis led the visitors to their second consecutive T20I win last night.

Inglis played a match-winning knock while Green registered his second successive half-century. Both batters added an unbeaten 131 runs for the third wicket, securing Australia’s victory. This partnership came off just 59 balls. Inglis remained unbeaten on 78 runs off 33 balls, with seven fours and five sixes.

Green also scored a quick half-century and made an unbeaten 56 off 32 balls, including four maximums and three fours. Their stand is now the highest for Australia in T20 international for the third wicket and has set the series pretty well for them.

All the teams are eyeing the next ICC tournament in 2026. It will be the tenth edition of the ICC T20 World Cup, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka jointly and will take place between February and March 2026. Australia have given a chance to the youngsters for this series, and some of their seniors are all set to make a comeback.

Australia have 19 more T20Is left to play until November 2026, and they will look to settle on their best possible lineup for the mega event. That is where Cameron Green can be very handy. He was out of action for almost six months due to injury. But since his return, he has looked pretty well. In the first two T20Is, he has scored 51 off 26 and 56* off 32.

Green is batting at no. 4, and he is also a very handy pace bowler. That adds to the depth for Australia. The all-rounder has improved his power hitting and has shown a great display in the first two games. He will be back on the field in the third T20I.

Australia will play the third T20I against West Indies on Friday at Warner Park. Another win here will help the visitors to win this series. Mitchell Marsh and co. have been superb in the first two games, and they will look to carry on the momentum here and take an unbeatable lead after the third T20I.
