The youngest in the list of IPL Auction 2025 is 13-year-old left-handed batter from Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has created a buzz in the cricketing world with his base price at Rs 30 lakh. The BCCI shortened 1,574 players to 574 today, of whom 366 are Indian and 208 international. It must be pointed out here that all the players from India have been included in the top bracket of the base price in the IPL 2025 auction list.
The auction is to take place on 24th and 25th of November in Jeddah and Vaibhav Suryavanshi is to stand for the selection in one of the elite teams of IPL. He has achieved milestones at such a young age when people start thinking of what to select as their career choice. He is up for the IPL selection and has already been chosen for the Under 19 Indian cricket.
How Vaibhav Suryanshi Came to such Heights?
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is no fluke, being a regular in both domestic and youth international cricket. This year, at 12 years and 284 days, he debuted in Ranji Trophy cricket for Bihar, making him the world’s eighth youngest first-class cricketer. In August, his historic youth Test fifty against Australia U19 marked a confirmation of his reputation as a child prodigy.
Born in the quaint village of Tajpur in Bihar, some 17 kilometers from Samastipur, Suryavanshi had cricket farmed into his life by his father when he was only nine years old. He was 12 when he won Bihar U19 in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy prior to his Ranji debut.
In the Quadrangular Under-19 series, he played for India B U19 in 2023, scoring 177 runs in six innings with two half-centuries. He made his international debut for India U19 during September 2024 when he played against Australia U19, where he hit an incredible 58-ball century that remained the fastest by an India U19 player and followed it up to score a run out for 104.
