India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in a thrilling final to lift the Asia Cup T20 2025 trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With this victory, India claimed their 9th Asia Cup title across formats.

Pakistan’s Batting: Strong Start, Sudden Collapse

Pakistan batted first after losing the toss. Openers Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35) gave their team a solid start, adding 84 runs for the first wicket.

But once Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Farhan, Pakistan’s innings collapsed quickly. Despite the strong opening, they were bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs.

The match ended in dramatic fashion as Rinku Singh smashed the winning boundary, remaining unbeaten on 4 off 1 ball. India chased down the target in 19.4 overs, finishing at 150/5.
