The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a record-breaking prize pool of USD 13.88 million for the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, making it the biggest prize fund in women’s cricket history.

The tournament, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, 2025, will mark a major step forward in women’s cricket, with the total prize money now even exceeding the USD 10 million prize pool of the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

    Prize Money Breakdown

The ICC has increased payouts for every stage of the tournament, ensuring that all eight teams receive a share of the historic prize fund.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah called this development a “landmark moment”, stating:

“This four-fold increase in prize money is a defining milestone for women’s cricket. It reflects our clear commitment to its long-term growth and sends a strong message — women cricketers must know they will be treated on par with men if they choose this sport professionally.”
